When I was in Paris I came across several Fromageries displaying heart-shaped brie cheese. Are the French routinely more romantic or so in love with cheese that they mold it into the symbolic shape of love? Or are the heart-shaped bloomy packages for the tourists who picnic on the lawn of the Eiffel Tower? I'm not sure, but I do have to say that I am enchanted by brie cheese (for those who know me this comes as no surprise) and even more enamored with heart-shared brie. It may not be French brie, but Old Chatham Hudson Valley makes a lovely heart-shaped camembert that's available here in the USA (I have seen it at several store in NYC and online from Freshdirect
). Serve it to your Valentine or add it to a cheese board any time of year to inspire some romance.
