Immune Boosting Smoothie

Two clear glasses filled with a green smoothie

The easiest way to start eating healthier is to start with a healthy breakfast.

Whether it's one of our OatMEAL Cups that come fully baked and ready to reheat, or a delicious smoothie packed with fruits and veggies, having a nutrient-dense breakfast will set you up for success!

This immune boosting smoothie is one of my favorite smoothie recipes. My daughter, Scarlett, first created it for my birthday, and it has been on repeat in our house ever since.

I shared this smoothie recipe on Fox & Friends and on Good Day Rochester, and it was featured in the New York Post and Yahoo News.

Here's why this smoothie is great for your immune system:

Spinach - Rich in Iron, and Vitamins A and C, which both support immune function.

Pineapple - Packed with nutrients including Vitamin C, which helps absorb the Iron in spinach and aids in digestion.

Ginger - Contains Vitamin C and is naturally anti-bacterial.

Bananas - May help prevent the flu, according to a 2020 research article published in PNAS.

This immune boosting green smoothie can also be made into a smoothie bowl. Use frozen bananas to thicken it. Pour it into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings.
